The MFA has virtual monthly meetings which are usually on the fourth Tuesday of each month. These are supplemented by “Field Trip” events during the year, usually on a Saturday morning to see a department’s apparatus and their stations. We will then have lunch together.
The access code and directions will be provided via separate e-mail and posted here. We encourage you to load the link and try it. If your computer has a camera when you open the link, you should see yourself. Play with it as you are not connected to anything. Doing this will get you used to the system. Once you do this you will be all set to attend.
Our next virtual meeting will be on the fourth TUESDAY, November 25, 2025 beginning at 19:30 (Eastern time). Please let us know if you need assistance in using this meeting method. It is not hard, and we can walk you through the steps, BUT ahead of meeting night!!
Remember if you cannot connect online, you can call in with the number provided. We hope YOU will mark your calendar and plan to come online later this month.
The guest speaker for November will be our old friend, Fire Chief Dennis Rubin; ChiefRubin@me.com.
Dennis Rubin is a career fire official with over 40 years of experience, serving in numerous leadership roles, including fire chief for departments in cities such as Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; and Kansas City, Kansas. Beyond his work in city departments, he is also an author, consultant, and faculty member at the National Fire Academy.
