The MFA has virtual monthly meetings which are usually on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  These are supplemented by “Field Trip” events during the year, usually on a Saturday morning to see a department’s apparatus and their stations, followed by lunch together. 

The Google Meet link and directions will be provided via separate e-mail and also posted on our web page. We encourage you to click the link and try it. If your computer has a camera when you open the link, you should see yourself. Play with it as you are not connected to anything. Doing this will get you used to the system. Once you do this you will be all set to attend.

Our next virtual meeting will be on the fourth TUESDAY, March 24, 2026, beginning at 19:30 (Eastern time).  Please let us know if you need assistance in using this meeting method. It is not hard, and we can walk you through the steps, BUT ahead of meeting night!!

The March guest speaker is Morgan County Fire Chief Garret Smith. He began his career as a firefighter with DeKalb County in 1997, working his way through the ranks, serving as a Rescue Captain, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and finally Deputy Chief. Appointed in 2023 as the Fire Chief for Morgan County.
