METROPOLITAN FIRE ASSOCIATION ATLANTA

The MFA has virtual monthly meetings which are usually on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  These are supplemented by “Field Trip” events during the year, usually on a Saturday morning to see a department’s apparatus and their stations, followed by lunch together.

The Google Meet access code and directions will be provided via separate e-mail. We encourage you to load the link and try it. If your computer has a camera when you open the link, you should see yourself. Play with it as you are not connected to anything. Doing this will get you used to the system. Once you do this you will be all set to attend.

Our next virtual meeting will be on the fifth TUESDAY, December 30, 2025, beginning at 19:30 (Eastern time).  Please let us know if you need assistance in using this meeting method. It is not hard, and we can walk you through the steps, BUT ahead of meeting night!!

Remember if you cannot connect online, you can call in with the number provided.  We hope YOU will mark your calendar and plan to come online later this month.

The December guest speaker will be John S. Butler, Fire Chief of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in Virginia. (ChiefJohnButler@FairfaxCounty.Gov) He is a career firefighter and paramedic with over three decades of experience. He is recognized for his leadership in public safety and his previous service as a U.S. Marine. Chief Butler is the first African American to serve as Fire Chief in Fairfax County.
